MUSHABELLY HELP! "POOFER" REPAIR?

i killed my brother's mushabelly by accident. now it wont make that cute farting noise anymore. i took the device out but i just cant fathom how it works and much less fix it. it means quite a lot to make it work as fast as courteously possible.
