What would you say to this?

We have a parrot called Rodney, I let him out in the garden in his huge cage and he loves it out there, the next door neighbour has a dog and works 6-2 shifts and he always whistles his dog and the dog races up the road to meet him from work. Rodney has picked up the whistle and has been whistling the dog all day and the dog is in a heap in his garden worn out after racing up and down the road, the neighbour whistled him and he never came. Rodney is still whistling him!! the neighbour has just given me a telling off for allowing him out. I explained he picks up all noises, I have legged downstairs putting our wheelie bin out before now as he has picked up the noise of the binwagon, he copies allsorts. The neighbour has stormed in calling me names!! It is lucky my husband is in work as he would have chinned him. Would you keep your pet in because of a nasty neighbour?
