Can i get in trouble for claiming un employment and receiving bah from gi bill, i am currrently not recieving?

i am currently in school with the post 9/11 gi bill and the goverment is taking out $750 a month from it becuase they gave me a $3,000 advance, I was thinking about getting un employment becuse the goverment did take $6,000 out of my four years in the marines for un employment. Would I get in trouble for this? since I am earning a income from my gi bill but again it is not enough. I do plan to work I ust can't find a job. So is it legal and is it wrong to get the money that was taking out to help for awhile? also in four years I plan to go federal does un employment look bad since I am going to school?
