If I have a verbal agreement with my soon-to-be-ex-husband should I get it in writing?

I don't care how honorable a person is, you get it in writing. Why not make the agreement that YOU will pay if he doesn't have a job. He has no reason to honor a verbal agreement and you would have no recourse to make him honor it. In other words, 2 days after the paper is signed he can just say he changed his mind, and you can't go back and get it undone.
