Is it normal for my female adult dog to pee 3-4 times when I take her outside? ?

We are treating her for a bladder infection, even though the vet found no bacteria.......he did find a lot of white blood cells. She had an accident on the kitchen floor yesterday too, and from what we know - she's completely housebroken (she's 5). But when I asked earlier if it was normal for a dog to pee 3 or 4 times outside, everyone said yes but a few people said only for males. Do females do this too?
