Why has this girl been avoiding me ?

So i have been knowing this girl for not to long . . She goes to the place where i play bball at because her mom works their . . I told my freind who is a girl to tell her . . That i liked her . . And she said she use to like me but dosnt like me any more . I dont even talk to the girl i like i ust see her around. Today when i went to the gym to go play ball i saw her with her mom as i was entering . . She just went inside the gym . . And when we were walking down the hall . . She walked faster kinda.
